How PDF Processing Works

PDF724 processes all PDF files entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, Tesseract.js). Your files are never uploaded to any server. When you use a PDF tool:

  • The PDF is read and processed in your browser's memory only.
  • The resulting file is created locally and offered for download.
  • No file data is transmitted to pdf724.com servers.
Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • General geographic region (country level)
  • Browser type and device type
  • Which PDF tools are used (tool name + action, no file content)

We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us.

Data Retention

Since all processing happens in your browser, PDF724 retains no file data whatsoever. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months as per Google Analytics' default policy. You can opt out of GA4 tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Third-Party Libraries

PDF724 loads the following third-party resources:

  • Google Analytics — usage statistics (see above)
  • Tesseract.js language models — downloaded from jsDelivr CDN on demand when using the OCR tool (no file data is sent)
  • Google Fonts (Inter) — loaded on page load
